The Dog Mom Who Finally Let go.
You probably remember her. She was the one who stayed curled over her three puppies while she was being beaten, her leg snapped under the weight of the blows, but she never moved.
Almost three months later, we just took her to the hospital to be spayed, and I’m sitting here a little bit emotional because she has finally, truly, let her guard down. She’s stopped looking at us like we’re going to hurt her. She’s exhaling.
One of her babies found a home, but the other two are still with us. They’ve grown so much! You can check out our Instagram’s latest videos for a closer look. They’re the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet, no fancy breed name, just pure hearts. The two babies are now in the section of the shelter where they can play with other dogs. You will probably notice that they are all mix-breed, and dogs like them aren’t adopted easily. It breaks my heart that people skip over them because they aren't some named breed dogs, but they have so much life in them.
But we are here for them, and because of all of you, they get to eat, play, and live with no deadlines. And until a lovely family comes for them, they will all be safe here with us.
